Fedora is a Red Hat-Sponsored Community Project, Which has released it newer version Fedora 20 on December 17, 2013. Fedora 20 is live now with lots of changes and upgrades. Using this article, I have tried to explain few major changes in Fedora 20.

Whats New in Fedora 20
Below is the few list of changes/upgrades done in Fedora 20 release.
1. Changing Application Installer
Fedora 20 will replace the existing gnome-packagekit frontends (gpk-update-viewer and gpk-application) by a new application.
2. Upgrading to Bluez 5
Fedora 20 is upgrading BlueZ version 4 to version 5. It is the Linux Bluetooth stack for managing wireless Bluetooth devices.
3. Fedora 20 Boost 1.54 Uplift
This change brings Boost 1.54.0 to Fedora 20.
4. Changes in NetworkManager Bonding Support
In Fedora 20 NetworkManager should be able to configure bond master interfaces with commonly used options and recognize their existing configuration on startup without disrupting their operation.
5. Changes in NetworkManager Bridging Support
In Fedora 20 NetworkManager should be able to configure bridge interfaces with commonly used options and recognize their existing configuration on startup without disrupting their operation.
6. Removing MTA
In Fedora 20 there will be no MTA installed by default.
7. Removing Syslog
In Fedora 20 there will be no syslog service by default. (Specifically, remove rsyslog )
8. Upgrade Perl to 5.18
Fedora 20 having perl 5.18 as default version which brings a lot of changes done over a year of development.
9. Upgrade Ruby on Rails to 4.0
Ruby on Rails 4.0 is the latest version of well know web framework written in Ruby.
10. Upgrade python-setuptools
Fedora 20 is coming with new upstream release of python-setuptools that is not completely compatible with previous releases.
