Web Design Trends that are Here to Stay

Dan RadakBy Dan RadakOctober 14, 20153 Mins Read

The first websites were the plain text only websites. It is impossible to imagine such a website today. The first websites that featured pictures along with the text at the same time were online in 1993 (blog.hubspot.com, Lindsay Kolowich, March, 2015). The web design grew and developed a lot throughout these years and it is important to keep up with the trends in order to make your website relevant. Today’s trends are far from simply having the text and the picture at the same page. These are the latest web design trends that will stick.

    01

    Parallax Scrolling

While parallax is not a new thing, it developed a lot in 2015, so it can be included in this list. Throughout this year, it established itself as a trend that turned into the basics of web design. Many websites use parallax today, regardless of their topic. It started with a website for the Nike, but it found its place in personal blogs, movie ads and many more purposes.

    Single Block vs. Tile Websites

The old backgrounds usually featured some templates or patterns without much importance. Today, that kind of web design doesn’t stand any chance. Web design trends went into two separate ways when it comes to organizing the web page. One direction dictates the big, single photo background made out of the original and personal photo that relates to the topic of the site. Another one features the tiles. This trend works well and the Windows layouts helps. It made it seem more familiar to the users and people find their way around it more easily.

    Transparent Icons

Those big and glossy icons are a thing of the past. Since the background turned out to be so important and the focus is on wonderful and personal photos that are both unique and interesting, icons just cannot be on your way. Therefore, it has become increasingly popular to make icons transparent and simply outlined, because they shouldn’t clutter up the space of the web page. This type of personalization doesn’t stop with the custom photos. Even the website extensions gravitate toward this. For example, find the way to make your website name work with the .me extension also gives your site a personal touch. Consulting with the experienced Domain.me designers is a good idea to make this work for you.

    02

    Deserting the Rectangle Shapes

This is one edgy approach to the entire web design. Since the beginnings, the users are used to the rectangle buttons, headers and titles. However, those times change. Facebook smartphone app introduced bubble heads as chat heads quite successfully. Websites now introduce something similar into their design. It will definitely be interesting to monitor the development of this eccentric type of design.
The best thing about the web design is that one can never predict its development for certain. That is the artistic note about design and what makes it interesting and exciting. Therefore, while it is important to keep track of the web design trends, it is also fun.
